No kidding. I was heading home from up north in my pickup for Christmas a couple years back. Due to icy conditions we were all traveling 75 km/h. I was followed by a loaded truck and I swear on my life that ### hat was no further than 3 feet off my back bumper. When he passed me he proceeded to follow the next guy at the same distance. He was lucky he turned East into Edmonton rather than West because I was going to give him some free dental work if I happened to catch up to him somewhere on the highway.

The ticket was deserved because this goes on way too much. That being said, get an attorney in the town/county or jurisdiction, pay the guy and it will go away. Relatively easy fix, and relatively costly but anyone with a JD gets this knocked down every time.

I wish they'd pull your license for three months with that kind of ticket. No I'm not joking. I see guys out here on the 35 between San Antonio and Austin tailgating cars trying to bully them out of the way all the time. The way I see it, if you're doing that #### your privilege to drive heavy equipment should be revoked. That would limit it some.

I could probably get a "following too close" ticket a couple of times a day, right after that mega driver passes me and tries to scrape the bugs off my front bumper, even though there is no one in front of or behind him?

Me too! They should be $2500 apiece.
I can only shake my head when I see fully loaded car carriers tailgating 4 wheelers like they were driving a Ferrari.

Your word play went unappreciated... that's unfortunate.

Every time I split over to the big hole I'm 'following to close' all of you.... and then show you the tail lights.

Simple. A truck driver is a paid professional. Held to a higher standard.

Fight every ticket. That being said following to close is stupidity at its finest.
