Last year, or the year before, I went thru a CHP checkpoint and they gave me a bag of goodies for Truck Driver Appreciation week. To say I was shocked would be putting it mildly. It was a nice gesture, though, gotta hand it to them. I think I was at a scale heading up the Grapevine northbound in I-5.
What did you get for Truck Driver Appreciation week?

I got the runs from 2 chili dogs, some chips and all the free soda you could carry from my company. They had hamburgers earlier in the week, but I missed those.
I had the broker I was hauling for this week tell me that they appreciated me on this 'driver appreciation week'.(we haul for them a lot, and although they are nice and professional, they never told me that any other week)Last edited: Sep 19, 2015

I got the green light a few times this week and the bypass arrow everytime I passed through the scale
