Got to love the new bonus program last time we had I say 99.5% of the drivers made bonus.I'm loving it. I told you guys something was coming down the pipe real soon, I just wasn't at liberty to say. There pretty good size checks. I'm reloading from Maryland to Portland Oregon. Was given reload information 2 days early! That should put us over $70,000.

With the new bonus program you'll make over $70,000 you have to really screwup not to make bonus. Make sure that you negotiate your starting pay, they normally want to start you around 38 and then 30 days bump you up to 40 and with the bonus program you can make around 44. One thing they do when you go home they leave you alone, they don't call to bug you, Plus if you want extra time off just call them they never told me no. Bottom line their very good people to work for. You're never micromanage, Get your load information and roll. Like the other guys were saying their equipment is very well-maintained and top-notch.mitrucker Thanks this.

Does sound good, are we still getting the longevity bonus at anniversary? I am getting unloaded here in Allentown now and head home to Va when I get empty. My wife is so excited.
mushroom1464 Thanks this. -

Going to pick up my load going home... Should be interesting, was supposed to deliver tomorrow morning near buffalo but with the loaded miles and having an afternoon pick up time, it wasn't looking good. Dispatch got with the broker and had them bump it to Thursday morning , though now it's a 5 am drop. Came up with a plan b in case the shipper takes a long time, this isn't my favorite state after the 8 hours of hell yesterday trying to get unloaded, and just barely made it in time to get the 9 cases off for that one(very tiny place) . I'm glad this next one isn't a winter time trip, a lot of it is going through the woods in PA and NY, right up 219 in parts. I got the message on that bonus program, looks good and hopefully should compete well against the "red" place. Just seemed really strange getting that call from the VP of the other company begging me to switch over. I stood my ground on that, even though the first couple of months after the split were tough, it's been improving some. I wouldn't mind getting through the yard more often during business hours though, so I can get the truck and trailer maintenance done.

Well, so much for that load going home. Was just about to top off the reefer tank and run into the shipper to get loaded up, when I get a phone call telling me the broker cancelled the load last nite and just now informed dispatch. Seems after that broker ok'd the delivery appt change ( apparently this broker couldn't figure out why it was a little more difficult to run 700 miles in one session on narrow, winding PA two lane roads and fighting DC area traffic), they changed their minds and canceled the load on us. Not exactly a happy camper at the moment.

With all that back road driving you were going to have to do, sounds like it worked out for the better. Understand you need to get home tho.

What truck you in chasing dollars?

Yep,,,, they found me one that picks up in VA going to Pennsylvania, kind of an unusual pick up, have to check in there in the morning but doesn't load till after noon, gonna run this as a nite run, take my next break after delivery, and get home that evening, which will let me get into my parking location with less chance of having to deal with New York's "render unto Caesar" squad hanging out in that rest area just before my exit.
