I do have a question bout the two med plans big g offers. What are the differences between plan a and b (besides one starts at day one and other starts at day 91) and is there a vision plan offered?
Also, is it good coverage? What is the deductible, how much are Dr visits?

The plan that starts day 1 has a $5000.00 deductible..after 90 days the other plan kicks in. $600 deductible with co-pays for dr. visits and meds.. 35/10. Vision..dental and disability available..

It was the cost of the insurance along with the drop in the cpm from what I make now that has talked me out of applying. Maybe when I pay off some debt and need less take home pay I can afford to work there. It is to bad too, because it sounds like a really decent place to work.

I am aware that I can go elsewhere and get a few more dollars but peace of mind is priceless in this industry.
I don't go home pissed off all the time...far less stress...

I see your point, but I would be trading stress triggers. Wondering if I can pay the bills is just as stressful as the problems a less respectable company causes. Maybe in the future, hopefully Big G doesn't change for the worse before then.

Saw a couple unique Big G trucks this week. Must have been older trucks that aren't long before being traded. I saw a Mack 2 days ago, and a Cascadia this morning. Had to do a double-take on the Mack.

We have a few Macks...friend of mine has one and loves it...great fuel mileage..
    Cascadia are older ones...
They tested several makes to decide what they wanted...

I think Volvo and KW from now on...I like the KW...best truck I have ever had.

I like the look of the T680 better than the T670(I think that's the model numbers...the T670 is the T660 replacement with a more aero hood correct? The T680 is the one with that little angular sleep bump-out and the angular sleeper window?.?)

T600 was replaced by the T660. T680 is a new model.

lost my driver manager (Chad) as he has moved to safety. got Ron out of our indiana yard..seems like a nice guy time will tell..

still running well as i have been going home weekly now and miles havent suffered..testing this out till end of the year but looks as if i may do the weekly home as long as miles stay around my 2500 ish avg..currently running a 2534 avg since starting here in May

SS I fully understand your position as I had originally took Big G off my list as the starting pay was a big drop..The hit I am taking is not as big as 1st anticipated and I definitely dont regret the move over here.

So far I am impressed with how well they keep me pp'd and allow dropping of loads with too much time on them.

I wish you well in your search..I know it isn't an easy decision

    supersnackbar and tow614 Thank this.
