I'm hoping Pete has learned enough by now not to sit there. There are some places that sitting will pay off, and other places like nd,co,nm, ks, mt, south fl, west tx, that if you don't have a load by the time you are empty you just start heading towards the freight.

Ok y'all, how are rates looking? Still on the waiting list for a trailer, but we might have the opportunity to get one on our own, but we've heard rates are only about $1.60 a mile right now? And with things slowing down even more in the coming months...not sure it's even worth it if that's all we would average. Thanks for any info!

Load. 1 Florida to TN 1.70 per mile on 632 miles. 120 mile DH
Load. 2 KY to Iowa 2.27 per mile on 793 miles DH 98 miles
Load. 3 SD to GA 1.57 per mile on 1304
DH 180 miles
DH home from GA 437.
Its kinda what you make it. For example I could've grabbed a load from GA down to Florida instead of DH but my cost are low and nothing went directly to the house so I bounced home. Also the run outta SD was only 1500 lbs so basically a ltl paying full truck rate so to speak. Hope this gives you a ideawhoopNride, sanchez51476 and gjcarr03 Thank this. -
