Sometime in August the brand new Ryobi that was barely a couple months old seemed to have blown its little engine. Won't start and leaks oil everywhere. Took it home and put it away for now, wish I would have purchased the $120 warranty thing now. Meanwhile, been shopping around for another little 2000 Honda, found one easy access near one of my terminals in Charlotte NC Northern Tool. They do offer a PowerHouse generator, similar size and shape, just in the color Blue for $599. Not sure I want to risk it like the $600 Ryobi when the Honda is a for sure thing.

Just a side note. Keep your mouth shut about using on your truck. Most warranties are cut in half or more when used in a commercial application.

Thermo king apu's are the only ones I have used at companies I worked.
They are reliable and you can get repairs in most major cities. -
If you are looking to save money versus the Honda check out Westinghouse. You can order them online from Home Depot.
-
If they apply at all, in the long run, I will keep my diesel apu.

I thought getting a sears one. There are sears all over the country. Brigs and Stratton engine. I know Hondas are OP.

The Sears ones have a real generator inside. The small Ryobi and Honda's are not real generators. They have a 12v alternator inside that powers an inverter. At some point with a gas generator you'll be burning a lot of fuel. Same with the small units if your trying to power an AC unit.

Ok, Im with on the three parts instead of two, its funny they have inverters in there. 3 gallons of gas a night instead of idling all night at 12 gallons of diesel? Plus less idle time on the money maker. But, does that mean only have the generator in the summer for the AC, or put an oil heater in there for winter?
