Please give a little more information... What does no Pay mean?
-
I mean No Pay. You run your rear off, and no money for your effort. Spoerl also will overload their Van trailers and have the driver run the load. Then if the driver gets busted for overweight, the company blames the driver, and asks why they took the load. They will have drivers p/u half a load, bring it too their warehouse, and add more freight to the load. Making it overweight. Even if you call them and let them know it is overweight, they tell you to run it anyway, and avoid the coops.
-
Was it paid by the mile or percentage of the load?
-
Running over weight is ILLEGAL,you will pay fine and or go to jail if you crash with a knowingly over weight truck that you cant stop...if they tell you to rob a bank will you do that too?..Grow a pair and say NO !!! I will never, ever do anything illegal for anybody EVER..Puppage Thanks this.

Since when has being over 80000 pounds hindered the safe ability to stop a truck?
I have hooked to stuff that ended up being over 84000 before I could even tell the difference.
Gross weights and axle weights are there to protect the road, not the truck -
So you didn't make a cent while working there? Not one red cent(or copper colored one)?
loose_leafs Thanks this. -
Was a percentage of load amount, on both companies
-
I could tell after hooking to an overweight trailer it was too heavy. After you become use too the truck, and a load of normal weight. You can tell the difference.

You can break
You can break componets in and around the axle, get brake fad, lose a cross member, shake off a brake drum, tires can overheat and burst, all kinds of bad things can happen.Weight limits are not just to keep from tearing up the roads, I've seen over weight trailers buckle and fold in the center because some clown had the tandems fully extended, yea you can get away with it most of time, but do you want to be that poor sap that rolls on top of a car full of kids while over weight ?Last edited: Oct 21, 2015
