Hope you have a great time at home.

We got all our stops made and got routed through home to get the rest of our stuff for the truck and our dog.

Now headed to Arizona and going through some light rain. Deliver at 1 pm tomorrow and should make it fine.

We need to get stuff to cook with, but with us running most of the time might be kinda hard. Thinking of getting a crock pot though.

    Stay safe out there.

Curious, is anyone here getting over 11000 miles a month. You know like, adding the miles for two paydays to equal more than 11,000? I get real close but not enough to push over the mark.

Yall got the message about company average. I get those but not enough back to back to hit the mark. But I do get a consistent average but just not high enough to make up what I use to make.

Considering to go back to ltl driving in Denver.

Got a few questions. When we were ar orientation, the woman that normally does them was out of town at meetings so we didn't really get the full scoop on how things work. We've been dealing with brokers which we've not done before. Usually had the office deal with all of that. Is that the norm?

We picked up a load in Dallas, got it to Goodyear, AZ, early, had to sit in staging area unail app time at 1300. Got in the door at 1245, then sat until 1700. We ended up missing our next app and get to sit all weekend. Not too happy right now. We had to deal with broker about detention and layover.

Just need a few questions answered as to if this is the norm or what.

Hope y'all are enjoying the weekend. And thanks in advance for any advice.

Occasionally on broker loads that happens, if it's on the weekends give the broker a call and let them know as soon as you know you're going to be late, and give the after hours number a ring- that goes right to Mike or Bob. They've been working a lot on getting our own freight accounts, and getting things changed so the drivers won't have to deal with brokers as much It doesn't guarantee that the shipper or receiver will be fully cooperative though, and in the 20 years of driving I've had to deal within lot of unscrupulous brokers. Now and then things fall apart and it leads to other things going awry. Let them know Monday as soon as they open what happened.

The Bella skillet from wal mart. $20. I never cook above 325*f. Our you'll burn stuff. It's 1200 watts at max. 450*f.
There are heavier more expensive ones, but take longer to heat and cool. On my 30 break I can cook 8 slices of summer sausage and slap on crackers with cheese and the skillet will almost b completely cool. And.a ribeye for dinner. 3 over medium eggs and with precooked bacon ( 30 sec. In the skillet) for breakfast. MAKE SURE its CERAMIC! Wipes out with a damp paper towel. And plastic spatula.

I just dealt with some crap like that, but my experiences have not been too bad with brokers. Just be happy they don't give them your cell number anymore. You will find that the dispatchers are doing most of the communicating with the brokers that it says in the load info, half the time you won't have to deal with the broker.

I am going to check out that skillet, my wife convinced me to get a kuerig for the truck since I am always complaining about crappy coffee out here on the road. They have one made by Bella that takes the k-cups for $35 at walmart. I am going to give that a try since I can't bear to spend $100 on a kuerig to get beat to death in here. I have had microwaves die from the vibration in the trucks.
