I want to ask if anyone has experienced being approved and then the wait time on a trailer. Told approximately five weeks now it's two months. Can anyone throw any light on this for me. Thanks

It seems to be normal lately, can't get enough trailers from the manufacturer
Hellhathnoscorn Thanks this. -
Buy a used trailer if u can.
Hellhathnoscorn Thanks this. -
Yep. Has nothing to do with mercer, and everything to do with the trailer manufacturer just can't or won't, make them fast enough.
Edit to add: it wasn't that long ago when Mercer didn't even offer trailers, you had to have one already before you got here, along with all your equipment and previous experience with hauling open deck.
This is big boy trucking, if you don't want to wait on a Mercer trailer, nothing prevents you from buying your own. -
Are they still providing you one to use or are you just sitting
-
They don't hire you until they have a trailer for you

I've been waiting 3 months. Just holding on where I'm at until I get the call. I am sure it will be worth the wait.

3 months? I'm betting something ess wrong with your application. That sounds like an awfully long time. back when I signed on, they gave me the go ahead to pick an orientation date almost immediately. Was about a three day process to approve me, and I chose a date about three weeks away, right after the new year.

I've spoken with recruiting several times, and they assured me that I am good to go. Just waiting on a trailer. If not, why not just tell me, so I can start looking somewhere else.

Are you waiting on a step deck?
Do you own your own truck?
