Last week I moved into probably the oldest truck they have, it must have been in a bad wreck and only had 18,000 miles since February,
I was down 7 days on the truck swap,
I was expecting more in breakdown pay.

My truck is a 355xx with over 465k
Uses a gallon of collant every 600 miles, a gallon of oil every 3 weeks. The fuel gauge doesn't work, the window in the bunk leaks and now the bunk heater has quit heating. Other then that it's been pretty good for a "recover" truck.
Waiting for a door at receiver, container driver cut his bolt seal off with a battery operated angle grinder. My first thought was "how cool is that?", followed by what took me so long to learn that...

Did you guys fall asleep or what? No updates since Thursday??

I need stories from the road. Places of interest from Tucker...gimme something!

I have been reduced to a single customer. It's sort of nice in a way. I can check levels online from my living room and plan my own day accordingly. Production for them is low right now. If I deliver to them it's usually a single run which takes about 5 hours round trip..haha Salary is nice but the downside is I am on call six days a week :(

It rained again in Amarillo. Every time I go there, I get wet.
And the windshield leaks pretty bad, I almost stopped in Indy to get her fixed, but... As long as it don't get on me.. Great time at the 72 ouncer,

It gets dark too early!! Sundown in Effingham Friday was at 16:51, I got there a little later, I had big plans of walking thru Menards and then supper at Buffalo Wild Wings, but the darkness killed those plans.
And I still need to install my CB, ugh

El Nino is gonna be a byotch this year. Down here in Houston we know it's the weekend when it starts raining. Good thing you're not in Amarillo still. They're gonna be near freezing tonight.

    It'll be 32 tonight here,
But my next load should take me home,
And I have 2 gigs of data to use tonight, or I lose it. Verizon rarely lets me watch YouTube.
But AT&T will not give me landline phone service without an actual street address. And the zoning office won't give me an address until I build a house, a pole barn shop doesn't get me an address, so I can't get phone service and install an alarm system. But I like where I live, I just want a place to goof off when I'm home. Ugghh, but a Morton building is going up sometime this winter. And it would have been nice to bury the phone line with the electric line,

I left Greenwood, LA this a.m. and hit major rain all the way to just north of Houston. On the way back from Mont Belvieu to Grand Prairie, it rained until almost Fairfield, then my windows fogged up, the sun came out and the rain stopped. Seems TX only has 2 seasons lately, flood season or drought season.
