If I leave a company during orientation does anything go on my driving record. My recruiter told me one thing then to find out it's not at all the case and it's a deal breaker for me. Does this go on my dac report or anything?

If you attend an orientation even for a minute the company will report it. This information is available on DAC if the carrier reports to DAC. However its not a serious thing. Just be honest and report it on any future application. The big thing is the REASON you left. You better be fully ready to explain this reason.

I left Swift after starting orientation. I don't know how that looks on DAC. Probably a good thing. :D

Why would it be on your DAC ... Most trucking companies complete the hiring process at orientation and hire after orientation is finished.

If you leave during orientation, you're generally really not an employee yet.

    Arkansas and HalpinUout Thank this.

That's what I was thinking... Generally from day one of orientation till the actual hire date the pool of drivers has dwindled down tremendously, I couldn't see a company waisting the time to go back and send out DAC reports on people they have never even fully hired...

I walked out of an orientation back in the early part of 2012. The company lied to me about my starting rate per mile. I went through the physical , UA and driving test. Then while alone with one of the company people I was told what my cents per mile was. I said this was not what I was told by the recruiter. I was notified that was after something like six months. I handed all the paperwork I had been given to her and walked out. It did show up on my DAC. I called my old company back and was back driving a few days later.

If you aren't an employee officially, then they can't do a thing about it. Depends on when they have you sign employee paperwork

Hmm I'll have to see all the paperwork I signed and see if they're is anything mentioned about leaving.
