When it comes to communication I had a walmart load just a date and a time I asked about an appointment conformation 2 times was told just get it there none was needed. I get there the guard tells me I need an appointment I pull off to the side get on the phone I am told i will be worked in I wait 2 hours call back and am told an appointment will be scheduled for tomorrow.
I also had another issue with the same person. 5am drop and 28 miles away a 7am drop was scheduled .I was late on the second drop. It had to be rescheduled. I sent my arrive and departure macro for the first drop my arrive macro for the second I followed up with a phone call. Than another call..I finally get a message they are a having problems trying to reschedule my first drop. !!!!!

Well, they were going to reschedule for Monday, then as I got near the end of office hours Friday I called in, got told "we're still working on it". then asked me if I could make it Sunday, I told them Sunday after noon. Finally got a message saying to just head in Sunday and see if they would unload me, the broker didn't do a thing about rescheduling, so here I sit this after noon seeing if I will be unloaded. Makes me glad they're working to get rid of some of these brokers.

Yeah... I gotta stick around for a while, I can't afford making too many changes. Like I said it's still better than the situation I was in before I came here, just the crap happening over summer that got things off-kilter for me. Unfortunately I don't think brokers are going away, I've dealt with them for the last 20 years of driving. Some haven't been bad and this last one was what I call "the load from hell". I can tell you I've had loads in years past that were even triple-brokered, even one I pulled about 13 years ago that had 3 pickups, 5 drops, and it was a blind load. It was so messed up my I could hear my dispatcher (at the time) very loudly chewing out the broker lol.

What I would like to have is just one person to deal with. Not a different group every couple of days . What is our preferred fuel stop. Last I heard it was loves.

Preferably loves, then TA/petro if there isn't one where you are stopping. I one of time I got myself into a pinch and had to grab 25 gallons at a pilot, I just called into Dan and let him know. Usually what I do is I'll get 50 gallons and a reefer top off at a TA if I need fuel, and I do the big fill-up at loves. Plus I got the loves card where I can build up to platinum and get unlimited showers. I usually don't like having to to a bunch of fuel ups in one day unless I'm super heavy because it can eat up hours.

By the way, anyone know how Patrick is doing? I heard of the heart attack, but nothing since.

Worked for Great Plains for about 1 year they was very great to work for until around July when Great Plains & holland enterprises seperated after the transition I didn't get but around 1500 miles per week and they would always say they were going to pay me detention pay and never did recieve it they owe me around $400 for it now and then when you leave Great Plains they will hold $200 out of your check claiming its a recovering the load fee when I dropped it on the yard like they asked me to I went over to holland enterprises a couple weeks ago and it's already 100 percent better communication is great and no broker freight and miles are great my 1st check I had 6700 miles for 2 weeks go to holland drivers

Well.... Picked up the load of suds last nite and that went pretty good, got loaded early and put it on the out bound scale,,, only a couple hundred over on the trailer, slid it a couple of notches and then it came out perfect.. Heading into LA (not the city), then grabbing another load going further west,, luckily it's keeping me in the warmer areas, I've been hearing about the mountain and plains states getting hit with that frozen stuff...
