I'm looking to buy a new GPS. Any advice or opinions on what the best GPS would be are appreciated.
Thanks

Maybe that was the box? Probably. All I can say is none of my go-to solutions for sticking junk to the dash worked. Usually 3M duralock velcro works for just about anything. Not this time.
I wound up buying two rare earth magnet mounts, sanding spots on the back of the unit and using epoxy to stick the unit side to the back. Seems fine now.. but it took a few jury rigged tries before I got it mounted. -

For me, the best GPS is the Co-Pilot for Truck App. I have had it on my Android tablet for over a year and I really like it.
If you already have a tablet, the cost of the Co-Pilot app is considerably cheaper than any of the standalone GPS units in the truckstops (unless you are using your fuel points to purchase the GPS). Additionally, you will not find page after page on this forum, or any other, of people needing help to get their standalone unit working. The Co-Pilot for Truck app just works like it is suppose to.jtaran06 Thanks this. -

I'm going to agree with using copilot. No gps is perfect.

I tired copilot.....once...and it said my customer was 3 blocks into an residential area when I was staring at the customer.
But yall copilot lovers, question, if you use a tablet, how did you mount it and I'm assuming the map has to be downloaded for offline travels? I might try it again once more....
But i been using my garmin 770, my 1993 rand Mcnally map book and google maps and it seem to be doing well.
*btw kidding on 1993*Onadetour Thanks this.
