Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

To be honest, I never saw Fargo as a major hub for freight (say like St. Louis or Chicago) Who knew!!

 

Got my backhaul out of the house yesterday, dh about 707 miles to Henderson nc. Picked up my load this morning and delivers Saturday morning in farmer's branch. That's about 1950 miles for the first 3 days out. Now let's see what I can get for the weekend.

 

700+ mile dead head!! I have had loads shorter than that this month!!

 

Yeah, it's a Tuesday Morning load. They deadhead us all over the place for those. I once deadheaded from Gainesville FL to Cincinnatti for the 1st stop of 2 pickups. Not sure if they make that good of a pay for it, or that broker has a deal with paying headhead.

 

To tell ya' what rocket scientists we work for(and I use the term 'we' for the last time referring to working here). The fuel pumps are down at GP, but do they send out a messagse? Hello no. They stop our trucks at the gate, ask if we have full tanks, and then turn you around and send you to the Dallas Love's to fill up. I just drove by here on my way to Fort Worth. Had I known, I would have filled up first. Yea, I know, I get paid by the hub, but since they don't have enough money to buy new trucks or pay breakdown...it would have save them money

 

I got the message at 11:50 am this morning to fill up before going to the yard.

 

Got a 1 stopper going to a aldi in Illinois delivering Monday morning. I didn't catch what city they said. They had some better loads but I'm trying to see if I can get up nOrth and back to grand prairie before next Sunday.

 

Never hit my truck and the guard said they were holding off sending because it was in the process of being fixed

 

Hey loanerdude, you still with us? Did they ever get your chariot fixed?

 

My alert appeared regarding the fuel pumps appeared @ 13:10
