A couple years back when pipe was running to nd it was a great area. Hundreds of guys in the area went and bought trucks thinking they were gonna get rich. ,oil prices dropped so no more new drilling, all those guys running pipe out of Houston found themselves with no work and started under bidding everything else. they drove that market down so low our agent won't even bid on the majority of stuff cause (his words) in order to get the load the bid has to be so cheap no Mercer truck will touch it.larry2903 and TaylorMade407 Thank this.

A pain in the butt. You will run them one and never again even consider it.
-
I'm slow, I ran them not once, not twice but trice. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. LOLRazorwyr Thanks this.
-
Will there be a fourth?
-
No way. The first went smooth. The next two were horrible. Never again.
-
@spyder7723 OK that might be a fib. $4 a mile and I would consider it.
-
In other words, for the right money you will
take a pain in the butt. No wonder you go to California so much.CJndaTruck Thanks this. -
It's been well worth it this trip. Watching everyone talking about sub $2 loads back east makes me want to stay out here. I've had a great run on these mil loads.

I've been busy so I haven't been on in a while and realize that you posted this 2 weeks or so ago but I did over hear at the TA in Barstow that Mercer was gonna no longer take owner ops with their own stuff, gonna only do lease purchase on 1993 and older cabover and going back to 45 ft long and 96 in wide trailers..........or did I hear that in the drivers building at Louisville. Can't remember which but it came from a very reliable source.larry2903 and spyder7723 Thank this.
