OMG! You heard that too? Well it must be true then because I heard it too. It was part of the Celadon buying Mercer out plan.

Dude, that joke went right over your head. Granted it wasn't a very good joke but still.

A navy boy? I'm surprised you haven't asked to get those saddle loads on a dedicated run.

Yeah but the new lease trucks will all be former JB Hunt and Schneider cabovers. Really good payments from what I hear too. They are talking only 497 bucks a week for 5 years with only a 22000 dollar buy out. I'm thinking sign me up for that plan.

    TennMan and CJndaTruck Thank this.

you know, every time I see a cabover, I start thinking about buying a k100. And then I remember that dog house and how I kinda like being able to stand up in the morning to get my pants on.

    TennMan Thanks this.

I have only rode in a cab over daycab when I was young. Never drove one.

I drove a Ford W900 with a spring seat. Might be why I don't drive now.

How old was it? The newer ones, late 80s I think, they figured out how to drop the engine lower in the frame so a much smaller dog house almost like what an 80s half ton van would have, barely stuck out from under the dash. The older ones it took up the entire space between the seats, and was about elbow high. I literally could use it as an arm rest, albeit a very warm one. The sleeper was nothing but a mattress behind and just above the dog house and to get there you had step on the seat and roll over the dog house. So you were literally laying directly above the back half of the engine.

Don't you mean an L9000 a w900 has always been a kenworth with a conventional hood.

Edit to add: very few truck's had air ride seats back then. that was a high dollar option.
