Welcome aboard Steve and lucky! I like it here and I'm sure you guys will too.
Picked up Holland's bread and butter load yesterday. Saint Albans to Henderson. 46 miles shy of another 3,000 mile load. When I deliver this on Sunday, I'll have clocked 9337 miles in just 2 1/2 weeks. I can't believe this company.stevep1977, drvrtech77 and Luckydawg Thank this. -
I pushed real hard to get to California to get in a 34. Got here 3.5 hours earlier than predicted when I picked up in Georgia. Now I got a load going back across the country to Syracuse. Must say I'm liking it here!
Only problem I've had was my mistake. Forgot to approve my hours at the end of a couple days and got a message. Oops, my bad. Suppose to b daily. Now I do it every morning before I start my day while drinking my coffee.
And having a carpeted floor sure does my mindset good. Swinging my feet out of bed to carpet instead of a cold rubber floor is real nice! And watching the weather on the weather channel while eating a bowl of oatmeal is very nice. Thank you Holland! -
And I'm glad I'm getting out of here ahead of the winter weather since I will b running 15/70 thru denver. If u haven't watched the western weather forecast be prepared! Chains will b needed it looks like and Snow boots and good jacket and gloves.
Just FYI, Push the red button on your dish to get local weather. I set up cities across I-70/80 to get quick outlooks daily.stevep1977 Thanks this. -
Personally I like looking at forecasts on weatherstreet.com. All sorts of maps and graphics. Of course being a weather freak it makes it pretty easy to decifer weather forecasts.
truck_n_vacation Thanks this. -
Yeah, I learned a lot when learning to fly about weather. I check aviation metars sometimes to stay current to make sure I don't forget stuff.
Even thought about doing introductory flights just so I can go fly for an hourin different parts of the country.stevep1977 Thanks this. -
In winter, this is my go-to site for quickly gathering 3-day winter precip accumulation potential in graphical day-by-day format, across the nation. Makes cross-country trip planning easier then alternatives.

I've got to get this last Walmart off tomorrow at 14:00 in Terrell, then do a 3-stop load from Carrollton for Mon SLC, Tue Boise, and Wed Portland. Will barely have the hours and will have to be very conservative with On-duty usage the next 4 days.
But if the load data is right, it's a very light load, 34 degreeGulf, joseph1135 and stevep1977 Thank this. -
That area is apse to be hammered Tuesday - Wednesday. Have fun!

Don't get too excited about not approving logs.
If you don't they (Becky?) will send a message that says.
Logs need to be approved daily. -
I-70 is a mess. Chain laws in effect. Expecting up to 2 feet. If I would have had an extra day I would have hit the slopes. It was a beautiful scenery to wake up to.
Gulf Thanks this.
