Where Are You Continues, Again.....

Today I was told I was his only pickup truck.
Got a 210# pallet off Brittmoore going to Pro Cargo. Got 10 cartons 160# about 9 miles from there.
Went and dropped Pro Cargo.
Then went and got fuel for $1.989.
Then went and got two cartons 15# in the Heights. Then went to LA Porte to drop the 10 cartons.
The place was locked up.
It only took 45 minutes to get someone there to receive.
Then went to a construction site at a school to drop the 2 cartons.
Then went to Southwest Airlines for two airway bills. Both were no way going to fit on my truck.
Took the one that went to City of Houston downtown. It took an hour to drop it.
I told him if he ever thought about sending me downtown again to nip it.
By the time I got back to Southwest Airlines I wasn't going to make Oceanex with the two cartons 88# I got at Sullair. Was even worried whether CTS would be there to receive the 30 cartons. Got there 5:45 and no problem.

Got home 7:45. It's 8:35 now and I'm almost asleep.
Have a morning run already. And I know about a hazardous pick up at Morris Export going to Lufthansa.

 

Made my morning drop off. Came to get the Hazmat going to Lufthansa with insufficient info.

 

New one on me. I'm told there is a DOT permit needed for Yellow 3 radioactive. Waiting to be told what to do.

 

Dispatch told me there was a paperwork screw up and no permit needed. The guy here says I do. I'm told I will get wait time pay. I guess on the bright side of things I ain't burning fuel...

 

So right after the guy told me it would be about 30 more minutes dispatch said get out of there. He said go to
Southwest Airlines and get a 168# piece going to CTS. It was actually 16.8# carton.

I told him on the phone I had a half tank of fuel and no ability to get more and couldn't run all over town.

Next was go to Ceva and get 1pc 7# going to Katy ISD and 1plt 2ctn going to McHard rd. Down by Pearland.
Fortunately I did have enough fuel.

Got home 7:30.

 

Oh. The last place was un-findable until I called Ceva and got a number for the customer.

Had to enter at a different address and there was no reference to the customer name on the building.

 

Today was a 4 day. Tomorrow I go drive the fireworks truck that gave me trouble last time. But I learned from that. I'm in my bed about to be asleep. If I can avoid trouble tomorrow it will probably pay enough to make an otherwise rotten check not so rotten.....
