Freightliner Cascadia Stock CB Antenna - can I use it ???

    hello. 2015 Cascadia

    Can I use the factory CB antenna?
    I have a uniden 980 peaked and tuned with a 100watt booster.

    The factory antenna is not tunable. Can I use the factory antenna without damaging the radio? Thanks

    If the SWR is good and low you might. I'm not sure how running high power thru all the little junction boxes the Cascadia has will work though. Personally, I wouldn't.

    Thanks for the reply. I will probably install an external antenna. Do you know where I can purchase the longer screws for the mirror mount? I heard that if I use the stock screws for the mirror mount, they will be a bit short. Thanks
