Didn't take long for this thread to get sideways....

 

Kev uses google hangouts and he can send me pins of his location. I like this because I don't have to use a stalker like GPS app, he just sends me a pin when he stops so I don't worry about his safety.

When he was away for weeks at a time, we'd Skype. That was nice.

Also, I use an app on my phone called PDA net which lets me tether my wifi/wireless to my computer undetected to my carrier. It was $10. Good app if you want to use your computer now and then and have unlimited data on your phone.

A Bluetooth headset is nice so you can chat.

I think it's less about HOW you communicate and more that you are communicating. Just don't forget to share moments. Send pics or selfies. Keep each other first.
