It's not a lift axle, it's a dump valve. It releases all the air out of the air bags on the rear axle, so there is no weight on the rear. It helps in backing, and right turns. Next time you back up or make a tight turn look in the mirror at all the rubber you left on the road.
Razorwyr Thanks this. -
I know its too much rubber. Bad for the tires. Well that will be a new project.
-
You should be fine then, I hope.

I hope so too but that response doesn't give me much reassurance

I have heard, don't know, they are not taking on lease drivers anymore. Meaning quality lease peep s. I don't know where it ends since we are entering the slow season.

There were two of them doing orientation when I was in Louisville for my inspection last Friday.
There were also brand new step decks stacked up behind the flood wall and a few flatbeds also.
It just depends on who you are and how bad they want you.whoopNride and CJndaTruck Thank this. -
I for one am staying busy and this month has been one of my best even with going home a few times. Others have not had it as well. I'd suggest just going back a few months and reading this thread if not the whole thing.Truckin_Texas91411 Thanks this.

If you try to compare it to a once in a lifetime bubble oil field work, you will not be happy. If you compare it to over the road flat bed trucking outfits, it's as close to perfect there is.
Just keep in mind, no such thing as one size fits all. Some guys are just as happy at landstar or bennett as I am at Mercer. So if it's a good fit is an answer only you can give. research different companies and go with the one that fits you best.
