Number one is they need sales people and planners. Expecting the dispatchers to find freight and plan the loads is why the hours get overlooked.

Managed to bared squeak into the last stop on this load on time, didn't think I would make it because the broker couldn't figure out there needed to be time for the first to drop to unload. Got lucky since the broker never bothered trying to change the final appointment. Was going to pick up another one tonite heading out to Delaware but then the same broker cancelled it at the last minute. Not exactly thrilled with these brokers.

Things sure do get interesting. I was given a 900 mile deadhead to get a 1400 mile load. I called in to verify it than Mike said not to do it.

Mine was a 1400 miler as well, but I guess the shipper pushed the ship date off to next week, and the broker cancelled at the last minute. I'm glad this was on a Thursday instead of the end of the week though.

Saw a Great Plains truck up here in MI today. It was a Volvo too. Saw it somewhere on I-96.

They've been buying a bunch of volvos and freightliners, I think all of the volvos are automatic and the freightliners are a mix of autos and manuals. They're spec'd out pretty nice.

Stuck here in Fort Worth trying desperately not to blow a fuse at the people running the shipping office in this brewery... Wasting 3 hours of my time waiting to get loaded, then all of a sudden pulls the frieght back off because "it's on hold",, not to mention the snotty attitude of the people there. No wonder they hide behind bulletproof glass. This same shipper screwed me the same way about 8 years ago when I tried to pick up at this place with another company.
