West coast.... Good thing this turned out to be legal since it'll be my first time hitting the infamous banning scales... I've heard stories about that place.

 

FWIW, it's only about 15 miles longer to go via Flagstaff but this time of year, that's not always advisable, plus you'll probably burn more fuel in addition to the extra miles.

 

Yeah, they got me routed along 20 & 10, and I'm only grossing 77k + change, so in gonna stick with it as is. Plus the office is already closed anyways.

 

I hear you. All things being equal, I much rather run across 40 than 10 assuming there is no winter Wx on 40, but that's just me. I've seen snow/ice on 20/10 that did not exist on 287/40

 

Looks like sunny weather the whole way for me. I'll agree the weather out west gets a bit wackier than what I'm used to being a northeasterner.

 

I'll be crossing them myself this weekend. Lol. Headed that too.

Banning is no different than any scale in the country. They weigh and inspect trucks. Never had a problem there
