Question for drivers familiar with CDL training

Hi guys! long time lurker, first time poster

I just turned 21 (In july) and its been my dream for a couple years to drive trucks. Everything from the sounds to the smells lol. I recently got accepted to Prime's CDL training program, but I do have one question. I do have a birth defect, where I only have 2 fingers on each hand. I can still do everything everyone else can do, and trust me, my grip is probably stonger then most. I really hope this doesnt change anything for me, and can anyone chime in on how this will effect my training, or more specifically my physical.

Yeah I talked to the recruiter and he said he wasnt very sure but its shouldnt be a problem. He didnt sound very sure about the answer tho. I honestly don't want to make it to missouri from chicago just to be sent home ya know?

PS- I'm leaving this saturday for prime!

 

Workin harder is definitely no problem, been doing it my whole life. I will for sure call them tommorow and ask to speak to there medical team and let them know the situation. I just hope this doesnt mess anything up for me, kinda what I've been wanting to do for a while now. I appreciate your guys input, I've just been freaking out a little bit haha
