Not sure if rookies can post in here but just wanted to say thumbs up to the drivers who spoke up and told @Wooly Rhino the truth about what happened and you didnt get slapped with a bogus preventable. I'm glad to see that not all of humanity has been flushed down the toilet. Especially with all the threads I read about how much trucking and truckers have changed. Kudos to those drivers.

Something similar happened to me. Backup blind side, brick wall on one side, straight body on the other side.
Get out 3 times to check if im good. Backup in one shot!!!! I even went out a after uncoupling to take à look at the straightbody. Alright, everything is untouched.

Get a call next morning, guy says the truck miror was hit and broken, bent forward. Bit the thing is I only backed, did not pull in front so I know its a lie. Told him that we would take a close look at the security cameras. Surprise... The guy told me to just forget about it, its only a 50$ mirror.

Haha I thought so. Don't mind me, I just needed to venture out of the New Drivers forum and take a break from the drug test threads. I swear I'm waiting for someone to ask what's the best inverter to buy for cooking up meth on the hot plate in their bunk or somethin like that. Moving on..

Eyes play tricks on you when it's dark. Pulled into a FJ for fuel, no problem. Go inside to use the restroom and head out. Get in the truck, turn the key and I start moving forward slowly before I release breaks so I smash the brake and I'm looking around confused. Did I really go inside without setting my brakes and roll forward when I turned the key?! Until the marten driver beside me comes around my hood and asks if I got enough room to pull out. Apparently he backed up a bit when he saw me getting into my truck thinking I would make a right out of the fuel lane. Didn't see that coming...
