Whoa, one thing at a time, hell my cat was loosing coolant. Put a can of bars leak in and ran it 350,000 miles, it dropped valve, no coolant issue involved. by

Spyder, you need to give up on the double yellow thread, that skateboard guy knows it all. But didn't know how to cage a brake

If it is leaking into the crankcase an oil sample will show it very early, if no sample you will pull the dip stick and have the most nasty looking stuff hanging on your dipstick.oil and water don't mix. @stranger way works, but it's a very short time from his method to dipstick verification.

Coolant can also be pushed out the radiator overflow, this is usually caused by head gasket. Do a search for bottle test. It is fairly easy to check. With a bottle check you can isolate the air comp. and rule that out.

Checking EGR stuff, I am clueless. If it has been pushing enough coolant that you notice it, then I don't think it's going into the crankcase, or you would know it when checking the oil. It's a look you will never forget.

Ya but I knew it all when I first started to. Every one has potential. And I'm too stubborn to give up as long as they stay relatively civil.

Coolant in oil looks like a mix between a chocolate and vanilla milkshake. And when you see it, that feeling of oh #### hits you in the gut like a Mike Tyson sucker punch

I'm losing coolant when I go home normal I add 1 gallon. My oil sample did show a increased from coolant. I'm hoping it's not a ghost.

Perhaps you fill it to full and it blows out the over flow just to get to the trucks normal range. It should start showing in oil sample way before it's using a gallon a trip and at a gallon a trip I would think it would be showing in the oil. Like @spyder7723 said it looks awful.

It's been mentioned you can let the truck sit for several days and crack the drain plug see if a few drops come out. Or take it to a shop drop the pan and pressurize the system.
