According to SNI when we received our new stickers they stated that if we could put the new ones on but still had to have the paperwork for the 15's.

I am making my delivery in Commerce, Ca, then to the San Bernadino yard to pick up loaded trailer back home to Texas. So, I will be home on the 23rd.

And even though I am taking Christmas through New Year off, I still managed to hit 30k miles for the 4th quarter. Total dispatched miles of 125k. I could have done better, but had some lazy moments during the year. Next years goal is to take Thanksgiving through New Years off.

If you ever deliver to SLC International in Commerce, CA. They suck.Park on the street to check in. They give you a map of where you can legally park while waiting to be unloaded, but can't park overnight due to city ordinances. Checked in at 7am. Was told they would call when ready for me. 1130 rolls around and I walk back up and ask if I am ever going to get unloaded. They give me a door. Place is stupid tight to back into a door. There was just barely enough room for me to pull up straight with trailer doors just inches from the bumper of a Classic XL and proceeded with a 90 degree back into the door.

Another one of our drivers was there. She was freaking out about it. Calmed her down and with the help of another driver, guided her into her door. Then a Stevens truck comes in trying to back, so we help him get backed into the door.

It was an outstanding example of the driver brotherhood that you rarely see. And in the end, everyone got into their doors without hitting anything. This place is made for straight trucks, not 53ft trailers with sleeper tractors.

So in California January 1, 2016, apparently all trailers have to have Low Rolling resistance tires and aerodynamic skirts and such. I do know JCT has a few trailers that dont have either (Because I seem to get them, and get stuck with them for 2 weeks at a time). Is JCT considered a small fleet where only 70% of their trailers have to be in compliance or are we large enough where 100% of them have to be? Because the driver can be fined 1,000 dollars a day if caught in violation. Just wondering....

Honestly not sure of JCT 's classification. I do know that we are getting a huge number of trailers very shortly (if not already starting to roll in). Was told by a VP that all the "R" trailers will be off the by end of February.

The new trailers will all have side skirts and have Carrier units on them.

Thank god, every time I get a drop and hook. (Tyson usually) I end up taking a trailer I had for a day fully aerodynamic, and get a funky R trailer. Last time I pulled one with no auto air system, and since no one checks the tires, pulled out the ole trusty air gauge and all the tires were 85PSI cold. So..PSA...if you get one check the pressure since apparently no one else did...
