Oh, you're all in trouble now - I'm done for the year, now have lots of time for terrorizing TTR.

I am officially an owner operator now. Why?

Simple. I have the 'Owner operator Package' of guages in my truck now. that makes me a big shot flash harry truckin ownin son of a gun owner operator.

The fact that not all of them work is hardly the point. It's all about looks, right?

I found them at the Salvage yard for $75. The pin on the back has 6 active slots, and the wiring harness is there for the rear differentials and transmission, so I bought the sensors and screwed them in - no go. More investigation needed.

The truck didn't have the extra guages, but has the wiring harness in place for the extra sensors, so I'm taking a rough gamble that I can make it fly.

You could come help me, I have 3 loads that are 14' 8" on the ground. Might be a little tall on your flat rack. But no problem for a stepper.

Truck safely in shop, getting MORE repairs. No can do.

Besides, you need to catch up on miles, I'm 50,000 ahead of you for the year.

Yes - got 3 of them, plugged into existing wiring harness, just no reading on added 'B' panel guages.

Still catching up on home life . . .

Well, sometime in November I replaced the rods and mains. I elected to have it done at Cummins in Joplin, for $1800, vs my independent. The nationwide 100k/1 year warranty attracted me, even though my independent warranties his work and will pay for a screwup at any other shop.

Samples were showing a consistent uptick in copper and lead, and the sample following the bearing roll in indicates this was the primary source of the wear metals. The bottom bearing caps were worse than the top, they said that was fairly normal due to the downward force of combustion. They also said they'd seen a lot worse, but my timing was good.

    Yay - oil sampling!

Here's a bunch of lights my wife got from Amazon. The 7" round headlights are LED, $180 each. They transformed the night from . . . .

Into (excuse the upcoming ####, but you get the idea - ) THIS! The spread and depth on these things is amazing, and the spectrum is close to natural light, so they are neither annoying to other road users, or fatiguing to the users eyes.

The rest were 4" to replace the cheap arse single diode Grote that came with the Utility trailer (and touted as "LED lights") - and I added a couple of bars for turn ONLY, so that dummies could have no excuse for not realising my lane intentions . . .

    Much better now.
