You would do fine and you could get through the house pretty easily.

As mentioned before they don't like taking trucks over 10 years old but I know they have made exceptions so you would have to call about that.

Bbye truck! see ya later! driving the Viper down the Florida [IMG]

Spent my first two years working during the Holidays and New Years, ain't happening this time cause I choose to!

Oh btw I bumped into the first person in real life off here the other day. Captain Dave drove right past me at a customer while I was dropping a trailer. I'm on to you dude, stealing my loads! jk well.. maybe not lol.
Jokes aside, it was a pleasant random surprise.
In other news I had my annual driving test recently. They got me again with something, this time was when I was in the right lane on the interstate for not checking out my right window and mirrors often enough. I asked wtf I was in the right lane, ain't nothing but the grass to the right of me . Nope gotta check for those drivers that will try to pass you on the shoulder and the grass often also! Kid you not that was you answer I got.
Also found out from the tester whom also works in the office that they really are done with ICs.. like as in they know they have enough and don't want anymore except to fill in the gaps. It's not just IC side that's suffering, guy told me we've been losing dedicated accounts recently to Werner and Swift as well cause they are undercutting us when the accounts are up for bid.
I really hate Swift, they keep coming in cheap to steal our freight.
Anyway that's enough of that. Be safe ya'll!

As to watching the right mirror more:
    1) it keeps you.more centered in the lane
    2) that mother ducking ####### who decided 70 in the rain was too slow so he shot from the left lane to the entrance ramp/shoulder and past me only to have to.pass Vlad from Chicago (who was moving back to the right hand lane) on the shoulder cause Vlad don't need to do no stinking mirror checks. Yes, this happened last night, east bound on 90/94 at the junction in WI
    3) I could tell you a dozen similar stories which end with the trainee saying "so that's why you want me looking out the right more.

When near onramps of course I check for the speeders that don't yield and just expect you to totally adjust to them.
I do check my right side in the right lane randomly but not nearly as much as the left.. supposedly I'm supposed to look at both sides equally even when I'm in the right lane and there's no on ramps or nothing.
Took me by surprise, last last year when Schneider marked me off for not "getting out and looking" when backing into a space... even though in the parking lot there was never trucks/trailers anywhere around me for rows upon rows. Guess I gonna check I don't run over a snail or something I dunno, cause there was nothing else I could have hit lol.

Yea I don't get out often but when I took my recert, I made sure to get out after my setup just because remember, that's the Schneider way. That's the way most of the osrs grade you while you test. Even got into a discussion with him because I didn't roll up landing gear or unhook my lines in the exact order he said was correct. The laminated sheets I got when I first started driving collect dust throughout the year and when I do my recert I do it in that order. Apparently, they made new ones so does that mean the old ones are unacceptable practice? The new Schneider way or the old Schneider way shouldn't make a difference if it's a few years or so. Especially if it's been deemed safe to begin with.

What? L.A.P & P.A.L. is longer "the right way"?

I always use to get dinged because I never honked. I did the stupid GOAL even though the lot was empty but drew the line at honking.

I took my recert 2 weeks ago in Indy but I didn't honk or remembering him saying anything about it. Actually, now that I remember. I asked him when we first got in the truck if he wanted me to honk backing out of the bobtail section even though people were sleeping. He said no and I only tested my horns during pretrip and never again after that.

Yup, an ic needs to do everything the company says in order.....

I always read that they could tell you what the finished results and time frame is....... The rest was up to the ic.....

    Merry Christmas :)

I have been passed a few times on the shoulder by some idiot four wheeler.. May seem trivial looking out the right mirror, but those things do happen.
