It was just the vent cap that was messed up right? You shouldn't lose much. I've made the mistake of not putting caps on after fueling. I would put on what you got and get to a truck stop or dealer (dealer should be cheaper for that). Fuel burns from the top of the tanks fast.

Get a plastic bag and shove your gloves in the bag. Put in fuel hole. Did that two weeks in Texas oil field. Ziploc bag is better since its thicker. @TruckerPete1990

A total pain in the butt to net the same as a flat.

 

I've done it before duct tape works fine until u get to where u need to be.

 

Take a piece of cardboard box, wrap it in Saran Wrap and zip tie it over fuel tank

 

Its a stretch trailer, some pay well
