We were stormin in deep kaintucky a few years back, grabbin vegetative debris with our self loadin double bottoms and hauling it all to a makeshift dump site down an alley in this little town. Got on real good with the locals, job was goin great, til we got back to the dump site one run and found a cat pointin a 12 gauge pump at us foe 'runnin over my flower bed'....it was a few weeds along the alleyway but in fairness we did kill em. 'Twas a Mexican standoff til the authorities got there. Best part of the story was that the dude with the gun had some outstanding warrants on him, plus he got written up for interfering with a federal contractor. Still makes me laugh. And all the locals told me the guy was a tool so they weren't mad at us either lol

Come on, you can do so much better than that. There's A LOT of cable and phone wires that are very under 14 feet off of the main roads. If you REALLY want to relieve stress, try knowing that you're the reason some whiney MMORPG addict doesn't have internet anymore. I've never done it on purpose, but I've had a ton of times where I just had no choice. Moving trucks have to get to the house.Lucy in the Sky and bottomdumpin Thank this.

See, if you live way out of the city like I do you don't get tired of it. I live on a 180 acre farm. I did my fair share of city life while I was in the military. I wouldn't move back into the city for anything. I have to have my farm and space.White_Knuckle_Newbie Thanks this.

I know a little about farming communities being raised in Roberston County; big woods behind the house and mostly tobacco farms. It was good back then.

That's what I grew up doing, raising tobacco. Nothing beats the lifestyle and it's great raising my kids out here now. I'm surprised you moved away from it.

I did that in Phoenix one time. It was phone and electrical lines though. Got away with it to. It was just daylight and the customer happened to drive down that street and saw me sitting in the alley with a bunch of people standing around the truck looking at me. I was hauling a large commercial air conditioner on a flatbed. Anyway, he told me to stay in the truck while he talked to the people. Finally he said to follow him and we went to his place of business and unloaded the air conditioner. He signed the bills and told me to be on my way. I asked about the downed lines and he said don't worry about it; that whole street is full of illegals and I told them I will have to call the police to investigate it, so they told me not to worry, they will fix it themselves.bottomdumpin Thanks this.
