Similar spec trucks to mine on truck paper are $165k plus!

 

it cost me nearly 10k to get started with my authority. An I made half of it back within the first week of me being out on the road. So seems to me either they don't know what they're doing ORR...there isn't enough freight to meet there minimum needs.

 

Sticker price was about that. Plus $12k for the APU. After taxes and interest I was near $172k before my trade in brought it back down.

 

Anyone can make a $2600.00 truck payment if they're debt free when they start. Also, regarding the high payments at Quality you have to remember that they are not making any down payment either. My old girl just went over a million miles and I had thought about buying one more new truck but I'm getting nervous about the economy. Freightliner just laid off 1000 people at their plant in NC so my guess is the immediate future isn't looking really positive in our industry.
