Personally i think he had unrealistic expectations. I had a few conversations with him and that's what i got out of it.

If a guy expects over 2.25 to the truck on a load from the southeast all the way to Washington state and then expects over 2 a mile out of Washington state, that's just not going to happen on a regular basis and it doesn't matter what name you put on the side of your truck.

In a sense it's not ALL THE WAY true but you're kidding yourself thinking you'll average that with just general FB freight an definitely not leased on with a company. Those are independent numbers.

I talk to the guy just about everyday, and live about 15 minutes from him, he doesn't have unreal expectations at all. He just wasn't happy here, and he's happier where he is now.

I understand that, I was speaking more to a company that books their customers freight. I.E the last carrier I was with, granted basically a mega carrier, but their company freight list similar to mercer was their in house booked freight. That said, they did have their own company trucks to cover any freight that we did not take, so no loads were left sitting from being picked over.

The time he went to WA for Mercer that was referenced, he got over $2.60/mile to go. He didn't have unreal expectations coming out either, he just could't get a load.
    Did you get banned?
