Keep in mind this is a cobra 5400 pro under routing I have it set to fastest time no tolls. Unfortunately, with those settings it still wants to use the interstates even if I can save 100's of miles by using us routes and state approved routes.

Keep in mind that this is a Rand McNally Support page. I do not support Cobra's as RM does not own them. I would suggest you contact Cobra Customer Support.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Sorry for the confusion Mark, I was just asking an opinion on which was better the 70 or 80 cause I am looking to replace this one. Didn't mean to come across as snarky. And cobra support? Pffft. If you want to call it that lol. Just figured since this was a RM thread, someone might know without me starting a new thread.

We don't want to start Cross-Threading different manufactures....

The main difference I see besides the price or size is the 70 has a front facing camera also so you can web chat. The 80 did not come with one so RM went back and added that to the 70. I test the 80 a lot, but have not seen the 70 to test.

Don at DieselBoss does a great review and he is one of our authorized dealers. If any questions call him... He will answer all your questions. He is in Oregon. Monday's are not good call days as they are his busiest.

Thanks once again I apologize for coming off as an ###. Front facing camera for web chats, huh. Wonder how long before someone is skyping while hauling a load down the road.

Phone has that also, so it is not a new thing...

Don't worry, Retired USMC, drove 3 years OTR, my face operated on 20 hours - not much bothers me anymore....

    Thanks,
    mark

    Mark,
I bought a tablet about 8 months ago. Its worked pretty good GPS wise for me. I have a few issues with it...but as a GPS device its been working well. Until now.
I leave it sitting in the magnetic dock with the charger connected all the time. But lately, it will sometimes charge and sometimes won't charge. I'll go to use it in the morning (been charging all night) and its shut off. I try to start it and a red battery icon shows on the screen and goes off. So, I tried plugging directly into the unit and that works sometimes and sometimes it still wont boot. I've finally got it charging again now after playing around for 20 minutes between different ports and finally different charger. With the new charger it finally would turn on...but in the past its done that with the original charger too. Just suddenly it will decide to charge.
When I do get it going, I'll put it in the magnetic holder with the charger plugged into the mount and it shows its charging. And itll charge up to 100% eventually. Today, I was on the road and I checked the battery icon and it said it was charging but it was at 68%...even though it hadn't left the mount.
Any idea whats going on here? I've read of a few others having this issue...so not sure if you guys have figured out what it is?
