Ya, I agree with macho on that. I never spend a penny of my money for JCT without 1st making sure I'll get my money back.
Prime example is oil for the reefer. Yes, I carry oil for my use (although I've never had to use it for my truck yet) but if the reefer needs some, I call breakdown and either get a gallon from TA/Petro or buy one elsewhere and get reimbursed. Not my equipment so not on my dime.

Now I see why you all make money...you get dispatched tighter. I spend a ton of time sitting. I've never even been in a situation where it was tight on delivery
On this load, two stops tomorrow, last appt 0100 the next day. Sitting now on top of my first delivery for 0600 in the am. Will clear 655.00 for the week.

I had plenty sit time but I still clear 1 g. I just send my 41 and usually I get a swap. I also attempt early drop on every load. If my appointment is a day after I get somewhere I still try to drop and many times they let me drop.

Yep. Mac41 is your friend. I also run my recaps and rarely do a restart on the road.

I just wish they were better at planning a truck for running overnight/on recaps.
Instead I get these wild schedule swings like this load. Pickup at 1000 today. Stop 1 Los Lunas, Nm tomorrow at 1530. Stop 2 Phoenix, Az at 0800 on Wed. Final at 2300 in Chandler, Az on Wed.

Only restart I've done this year was when I went home a few weeks ago.

I'll probably get one this weekend in Sapulpa only because I'll have to wait till Sunday or Monday to get my load home and and I'll be there Friday night.

Not always the case. Picked up in Dallas area at noon on Thursday, deliver in Grandview, WA Monday evening. 1900 miles, effectively 5 full days under load. Just came out of house, so hours weren't a issue.
