What is your favorite thing about driving a truck?

The constantly changing view through that big picture window just above the dash.

 

Breaking hearts and bending the rules, chicken lights and chrome, that 'honk yer horn' arm pump thing kids sometimes do... big horsepower the list goes on and on...

 

Safe bet there my dear...

 

Why... For all the fame and fortune of course!

 

Must not been driving long enough... Yet.

I love my corner office with an awesome view and an ever changing screen saver on one huge monitor screen...

Every day is different...
Every state has a different feel...
And meet some interesting people too...

 

Cr England drivers like to sing country music on the CB radio; "Oh, give me a home where the commercial buffalo roam!"

 

I had a whole school bus doing that for me the other day... It was fun to see them smiling at such a simple thing... Love that.

 

I enjoy judging people on the road. I'm constantly muttering under my breath at everyone and shaking my head.

 

That feeling you get when the load is first dispatched, the units are pretripped and it is time to go on that 2200 mile trip. Then that feelling you get when it is delivered and you have 10-20 hours of downtime, feels like the last day of school before summer break.

I love the freedom. Get empty and jam up to a casino and throw the dice around. When working I set my own schedule, none of this 'you will report to work at 9AM, 1 hour lunch and go home at 5PM day in and day out no matter how you feel. I might start at 2AM, or 2PM, but I get to decide that, and customers don't care as long as the load gets there.
