Looks like one of those truckers who empties his ash tray in the lot next to his truck decided to mt his ash tray in the truck stop.

In 35 years of driving OTR and mostly 48 and Canada I think I've stopped into most every major truck stop in the nation at one time or another. But I don't recall ever stopping in there. I guess mostly because it was always more of an inconvenience then anything. But I'm not regretting it.

They used to have a really fast green light when turning north. Just barely stayed green long enough for 1 truck to turn.
Naptown Thanks this. -
There was a time when all those busy bodies would have gathered around to figure out how to help. Now they gather round to take video. And even take video of others recording video.tucker Thanks this.

What would you have them do? Form up a bucket brigade?
Friday, WitchingHour, Hammer166 and 5 others Thank this. -
Turn it into a cardlock and keep the parking for now until the new building is done.

There's a fine line between 'helping' and just being in the #### way.

Shame it couldn't have taken all the other truck stops in the area with it. They're all a joke around that city. Just one opinion.

If you look at the videos on where the fire started, there is not to much done to help other then assisting management clear the building. The fire started in the area where trash and electrical equipment was located and spread into the void space between ceiling and the roof. Once a fire gets in that void space the building is done. I just hope no one was injured and everyone was able to get out in time. As far a the J goes, it was an improvement. That was by far one of the worst places I've ever stopped in.Dominick253, G13Tomcat and DsquareD Thank this.
