They are one of the worst companies to work for anywhere in the country. The only guys that work for that company that make any money at all are trainers that put their lives at risk every time they go in the sleeper

USA Truck is not one of the worst companies out here, I worked for them for 6.5 years, then quit in 2011, when the economy went bad. Worked for a few other companies, that promised good miles and pay, and didn't end up doing any better. So, a year and a half ago, I went back, and things are going great. And as for the trainers, new policy is team driving, all training done while trainer is on line 4 (on-duty, not driving).

Well if all you know is garbage, how you going to know what better garbage looks likes compared to ####ty garbage?

That's tits that you do good there. Do you ever get the feeling when passing a USA Truck "This guy right here is about to f up my day."

Correct me if I'm wrong but 24 cents a mile x 800 miles a week doesn't pay the bills. Am i right? That's what it was like back in 2004 right out of truck driving school.

I'm exaggerating on the mileage of course but I was totally serious about the 24 cents a mile

Probably email leaves a trace.... I recommend google voice and talk to them while in a different state. Make sure your recording is on and make sure YOU ARE IN A DIFFERENT STATE so federal law applies or in a state that allows recording

You know there might just be a simple reason for the no email policy. I don't see why the default to a sinister motive. I know for myself I would rather speak to a prospective driver and make sure this person fully understands the information provided. I think most of the official information is online anyway. Do company recruiters lie? Yes they do. Guess what, so does cops, attorneys and other professionals. But I would rather just drive work hard and not worry about "gotcha" moments.

I'm sure it's better than flipping burgers at McDonalds but that isn't really saying too much.

I was making .35 a mile and they would give me all the miles I could legally run. It was almost all drop and hook. Only problem was it was 7 days a week, no restart. Starting up every night at midnight and they wouldn't get me home every couple of weeks to take a restart at home. I would run out of hours before the 8th day running 3500 plus miles per week. Some of their trailers weren't in so good condition either.
