Shoot man you gotta walk before you can run...any of them outfits you ruled out you can work for and get your year in. I gotta tell ya bro...it's gonna suck ANYwhere you go train. It really is. But you can do your 12 months standin on your head if you really want it.

I say this with the utmost well meaning...and the promise that in a year you'll feel the same. You haven't earned the right to be picky. Do your time, learn your craft, ones as good as the other.

 

USA and celadon both suck. I'd choose Schneider and prime over those two outfits. Seems like hartt runs New England a lot, not sure about them

 

That's what my wife said. We were looking companies over and she liked what Big G had as far as benefits go.

 

Can only say Pride is good. My buddy really likes it there. Outta salt lake and run (I think full 48) Kryon on here drives for them.

If you really wanna work for a stand-up law abiding company try Kelles Transport....each vehicle has 4 qualcoms and 3 log books. just a joke I kid I kid.

 

I thought all trucks had 3 log books? (insert sound of fast approaching black helicopters)
If I were starting today it would be Schneider or Prime, both have multiple divisions, flat, box, tanker etc.
Both have decent options to buy a truck and Schneider has their CHOICE program for O/O.

 

Im fixing to go to Pride just because I have an organization here in oklahoma that will pay for my cdl thru a grant. But needed a letter of intent to hire. Out of the 20 companies I talked to Pride was the only one willing to take 5 minutes to send me one and help me out. All the other companies refused, wanting me to go thru their school so I had to sign a contract with them. Didnt matter that for 5 minutes of their time I could have gotten the money to go to any of their schools for free. All they wanted was that contract and that I be indebted to them.

I am leasing with Trans Am and hate it! I sat in Longmont Colorado on my day off. Dispatcher called today and wanted me to run before my day off was over, I declined and got my ### chewed out for it. Getting out as soon as possible!!!

 

There's a class action lawsuit currently pending against TransAm and they're leasing practices.
