My assumption.... So just assumption. He took whatever the drugs may be to relax him and knock him out. Possibly took them couple minutes ahead of parking so they kick in as he shuts down for his ten.

Narcotics is system doesn't mean you are under influence.
Sounds to me that they couldn't prove he was high so they made a plea deal.

Prime is guilty by association... Just like the driver of a get away car used in a bank robbery. As owner of the vehicle they are held liable for all accidents

No way around it. It's the law they can be sued.

That's exactly what they did wrong. If they had not let this guy drive their truck he wouldn't have killed that kid. Maybe they should try drug testing their drivers more frequently. I hope that kid's family gets $20+ million from PRIME when they get sued by his family.

This suggests he has a conscience, which is a bit suspect since he made the free choice (addict or otherwise) to tool around doped up, and in all likelihood, this wasn't an isolated incident, he just ####ed up badly this particular day and there was no feasible way to hide it. There's no guarantee he'll ever be remorseful for a life taken, but it's more likely he'll be regretful for what it cost him - a CDL, job, free time, friends, family, money to court fees, etc.
As a cynic I'd expect the 'I'm sorry (for me) syndrome'. But for what its worth, I hope the fool learned something.

Basically if you do anything to impair your driving or can't control your habit, get the he'll off the road, if it's a no break habit then turn your keys in and find help. There is one person you can't fool and that's yourself. C'mon your killing innocent people for God sake.

When I first heard of the accident I assumed the big truck was leaving the Pilot because that's always a challenge leaving there with the RR tracks and the traffic. Turns out he was turning into it. No excuse for that.

They are putting traffic lights at that intersection right now along with 2 or 3 more lights going north on 46 to Dickson.

Seems like they never put in traffic control, until a certain number of people, (or one so called "IMPORTANT") person dies there.
