I can understand Texas Georgia or NC but why Cali. Ive been offered trucking jobs all the time in that state but to me its not worth it. A close buddy of mine offered me a FEDEX ground job I still turned it down.

NV or AZ is about as far west as I would want to get back. All the hot weather, big city activity and desert scenery, along with the proximity to the CA fun I could have. Without actually living in the state. Four years living near the TX stateline and going through west TX on a daily basis. Not trying to ruffle any feathers here, but the MidWest and southern states seem alright if you're up there in age and have families, married,. etc
But yeah, like all the other posters above mentioned, all written tests of every endorsement you hold must be taken and passed again. So study up on anything that might've been forgotten or be prepared to come out of it with some endorsements no longer there. -
Despite the high gas prices, idiots who live here, the political bs, CA is one of the best states to live in, especially for a young person.
It's one of the most expensive states for a resson. Don't talk trash especially if you've been to San Diego, it's practically paradise. Now if only the douche bags from AZ would stay the hell out -
I used to live in SD. Can I talk trash? LOL Also moved there for a job.
I agree, it's a single person's paradise. Besides they need truckers to help move everyone who comes to their senses out.
SD is the gem of CA, but you are in a regulated job in an over regulated state. Weather is hard to beat hands down.
Your dead on on the idiot part. You will get tired of them and high prices for every thing PDQ. -
Welcome to California. Unless you can find a back breaking prevailing wage job, you will probably end up in trucking with one of the megas. If your smart enough, you might get lucky and find a Union driving job with the food industry. Just hope you can make enough to keep up with the high cost of living out here. And yes, the weather has been extremely gorgeous out here. Tee shirt and shorts and your sun block. Hardly any humidity. You will around many gorgeous women who enjoy to show off there silicon bodies. Good luck on your new adventure. Who ever tells you it isnt great living here, are lying to you. There just jealous cause they can't afford it.

duckdiver Thanks this.
