Experiencing the Power of Red...avoid like the plague!!! Part 1

I've seen it on some trucks but mostly those dealing with hazmat(tankers in particular). I know the frustration first hand- Western Express' trucks are limited to 63 mph,64 if the cruise control is engaged (Marten's a little faster- 65 mph-66 to 67 with cruise control). It's a PITA when you trying to pass someone when all of a sudden they decide they want to speed up when they see a semi trying to pass them. This happens with four wheelers and big trucks alike.

 

Yes sir! It is called the entitled generation. Kind of scary huh?

 

Years ago, Carpenter Foam had signs on their trailers. "Driver is limited to 55 MPH" or something like that. They raised their speed......to 60.

 

Op has proven he's argumentative and sure he's never wrong.

 

I thought I was the only one that's argumentative and never wrong!

 

About 5 mph closer. lol

My experience at Roehl wasn't anything like the op. I ran out of Ellenwood and I was a trainer.

The only thing I would say is they do have a lot of hand holding, but you have to remember they are a training company. by definition, there's going to be a LOT of micro-management when the majority of your fleet has less than 2 years experience.

But, if you prove yourself to be a reliable driver, they generally leave you alone.

Of course, running stop signs, flipping the bird at people. Etc... Are not generally things they consider as "proving yourself a reliable driver".
