It is like this y'all. Life goes on. Even though it ain't fun no more it just keeps on going.
My lot in life so far this morning is to drop my sister at my cousins house so she can borrow a vehicle to take dad to va hospital. Then be a bit east of downtown Houston by 7:30.

Maybe I'll beat the 9-5. But that ain't what the smart money bets. When I used to drag soap to Corpus Christy we would be rolling by 4AM. That's how you get through town unscathed!

Tonight I'm in Denton Texas. At a little place on the highway that was fun the last time I was here. Tonight there's a half dozen older yuppies drinking pickle juice shots and laughing like ladies and gentlemen. Boring!!! I'm going back to the truck soon and hope I get back on the road tomorrow.

I got to the place only about 7 minutes late. Got the stuff delivered. Then picked up 7 hazmat cartons in Magnolia, TX and took them to Ceva Domestic where dispatcher said to take them. But was told they go to International across the street. They close from 12-1 for lunch so under a tree i had about 40 minutes to at my lunch. Delivered and then went to Royal Purple in Porter for two pallets that were going to Katy. But i took them to Bollore (SDV). I left SDV at 3pm to go to Hitchcock to get 6 drums going to K-Solv (a place i go to pretty often). Got to Hitchcock at 4:30. They had to.call somebody about taking 2 drums off a pallet so all 6 would fit. And I called K-Solv to try and find out if someone would stay until I got there. Left a voicemail to Jose but he never called back. At 5pm as they were getting ready to lock up i sent Roland a text I was leaving empty. He never answered either. I stopped at Tractor Supply in Baytown to get 40wt oil because Porter didn't have any Yesterday. Got home a little prior to 8pm. My poison ivy/oak is bad enough that we're going to a doctor tomorrow.

Hey Dave.. have you tried those ointments and creams to stop the itching? The doctor will probably prescribe some... hopefully it's not some bad bad allergy...

Try some alum paste for poison Ivy. You can get alum at the grocery store in the spice section. It's a powder ,mix with water and put it on there.

The oil secreted by the "poison" variety of sumac/oak/ivy is caustic to skin, and not only when the plant is moist (live), but also when the plant has been dried and the "oil" is in powder form. Most any ointment that is thick enough to block any oxygen to the affected area will allow the area to heal. However, when the infected area is severe, an ointment with cortisone infused will be needed for the healing process to begin....these aren't over the counter available, they require a prescription from the doctor.

If you know you are susceptible to the "poison" varieties, and you will be working in an environment with these plants, best to cover any exposed skin with a thin coat of Vaseline before working. Also, any clothing that has brushed against these plants will carry the "poison" and be transferred by contact from hands to exposed skin areas...immediately wash all clothing with possible contact with these plants. Pets can also carry the "poison" on their coats and transfer the "poison" to exposed skin...

Everything looks better with the exception of my left wrist. Patches of skin are gone.
My sister made a paste of baking powder that may or may not help.
    And life goes on.
