I didn't mean to touch a nerve about the CR parking. I was just commenting on the higher than usual number of peoplenet messages yesterday between the usual so and so is leaving early and Ltd drivers are being naughty.

One thing that would help in CR is Ltd trucks that aren't assigned to drivers can be parked on the other side of the facility. That would open up a few spots. If they are also so particular about Ltd only parking on that one side of the shop, are they going to make dedicated and ltl trucks stop parking over there? That would have certainly opened up several spots when I was up there last weekend.

 

We should have a LTD vs LTL hotdog/hamburger eating contest for parking privileges. Paid for by Magnum of course.

 

There's a new newsletter in the employee portal... I'm bored doing an unnecessary 34 and found it...thought I'd pass it along.

 

My day went from good, to crappy, back to good.

First good... Got unloaded at GSF in Mccook, IL. Was in and out in an hour.

Crappy... On my way to Kenosha, WI to pick up a load of water. I was already in an internal road rage after getting epically cut off by a Chicago moron. I was coming up on the toll plaza from 55 to 294. All 5 lanes open. I'm behind a yellow utility truck on the highway. Traffic slows to 15 though the toll plaza. He goes into an I-Pass lane, I'm right behind him. He STOPS at the very end!! Gets out and shuts down the cash lane next to him to swap out the change bins, finishes there then does the other cash lane. Meanwhile I'm stuck behind him loosing my ####! I got walls on both sides. People behind me probably think I'm the a-hole holding up trafffic. It's certainly not wise for me to start backing up through the toll plaza, so I have to wait it out... The whole time wondering and yelling out loud why they have to do that in the middle of the #### day and why block an I-Pass lane to collect change from the cash lanes.... I'm getting pissed again just typing this.

Good again... I got loaded at Niagara bottling 7 hours early.

Next time in CR, I'm going to paint my truck # on the asphalt so everyone knows not to park in my spot. Then I am hiring a towing service to check it 2 times a day and tow the ltl drivers truck to impound yard.
