That's weird, we probably just missed each other. I dropped a load off at a warehouse in Laredo and they gave me this load off of the Laredo yard on Thursday. I deliver on Monday to. I'm taking a 34 here in Ehrenberg so that I can idle the truck and am going to try to get in and out of Cali asap. It is fun to meet a driver from online in person. Hopefully, we'll meet more of them. Be safe on the road driver. :yes2557:

I went there with my trainer two years ago. We bobtailed straight south 5-10 miles to the munincipal parking lot, parted (paid $7.00/ night) and there is a bus, or you can walk over Rio Grande river to Mexico. and yes, i did go there, is it still in business?

Just thought that I would post that today is my sixth month with USA Truck. So far, so good. I am on my way to Georgia after picking up in Denver. Overall, I am satisfied with the company, my dispathcher, and my miles. I hope it stays the same, knock on wood. :biggrin_25525:

This weekend was fun. My six month anniversary with the company was Saturday and Sunday I was broken down on the side of I-57 in IL. What was the problem, you might ask. Somewhere between St. Louis, MO and Carbondale, IL two of the tires on the trailer that I was pulling snapped away from the hub (the lugs were broken off) and rolled away. I was hauling 46K worth of alluminum and am fortunate that I didn't roll over. I have no idea where or when I lost the wheels either, since there were no out of the ordinary sounds or vibrations and I left the STL at around 3:30 am so there wasn't enough light for me to see the tires in the mirror. The only thing that told me that something was wrong was that the trailer appeared to be leaning slightly towards the passenger side of the truck in my mirror. Well, I didn't think much of it at first because most of the trailers I get appear to be leaning to one side or the other, or I figured that someone just hit my mirror at the T/S that I stayed at. If another driver hadn't said something on the CB I hate to think what would've happened. I did my walk around before I left St. Louis and know that the tires were there, and I checked for the rust streaks to see if the lugs were loose with my flashlight before I took off, just like I was taught to do, but I guess things just happen. I'm pretty sure that no one would've been hurt, because other than me there were only a handful of other trucks on the road and very few cars, but it still was a scary experience. One that I hope never happens again.:biggrin_1square4:

    ^^Wow!^^
That's a crazy story. I find that most of the trailers that usa has have some type of problem. The problems that I see most are bald/near bald tires on the trailer.

That just happened to me on Friday down in Houston,Texas.I was heading to Waco to pick up my home load and two tires fell off the same axle. The TA ended up replacing two tires, two rims.air inflation hoses, and a new hub.The mechanic said someone had just put new brakes on the trailer so they didnt tighten the lug nuts down good and they worked themselves loose.I had him check the rest of the tires and he found several more that were loose also.Looked at the trailer inspection report said it had been serviced on July 30th just 8 days prior to this happening.
