Looks to be almost 45 degrees pointing down. Must have gotten a "good" one...

Mine is actually pointing outwards from the passenger side. Anyone walking too close to my truck will get a hot leg when my apu is on.

Luckily I haven't encountered the apu problems you guys have, but I'm about to hit 4k hours so I'm probably overdue for some major problems.

I believe he was referring to the truck main exhaust.

Yes, the truck exhaust. The grass burner. If it is turned it now becomes an air line burner

Hey y'all. A couple of things. I was at W&B to fix my apu on Friday and after 13 hours, I got to know a few of them and some details. 1st yes they are contracted to install all the apu's on the trucks (carriers). They are great with knowledge on installs but struggle on troubleshooting. They admit it.

I had multiple issues and I've had this truck for 50+- days. In Florida they changed the cable from the control to the bunk. That worked for 3 days then apu would work sporadically. WB found that the main 4 pin going from bunk to apu had been spliced and no heat shrink and allowed moisture in the wire. Another wire had been cut and had signs of moisture.

Now for the truck exhaust. The down pipe was missing and my exhaust was blowing straight out onto the apu and melted wire lum and coatings. The fan harness had to be replaced. A new 90 elbow was installed to deflect the exhaust and heat. After all said and done, apu needed recharging and found a hole in the line going to the condenser on the back.

Now for the issue of it overheating. Change the relay. I helped t/s this and found a recal on it. The time it takes to t/s this took 3 hours and it's a ##### to get to as it is under and behind the fan. They should have changed mine when they changed the harness but that would have been to easy. My apu's runs awesome now and starts when I press the button. Imagine that.

So, I get to the Wal-Mart in Los Lunas at midnight for a 0100 appt only to find out that the appt was changed to 0300. Luckily I was allowed to check in and given a door with the understanding that the 4hr unload time will start at 0300.

Which part of the reason I wasn't really bothered by it. I knew I was getting an 8hr.

And, of course tonight they were johnny on the spot with unloading. They were done with me at 0300. Which gave me two hours of drive time to find parking. Managed to find parking at the Isleta Casino at exit 215.
