how accurate would you say the Qualcomm is as far as getting you to the customer. I understand nothing beats a map but just curious to know. Or would you reccommend the rand McNally gps?

I prefer the Rand Mcnally for overall directions, but the Qualcomm is typically spot on for our customer's exact location.

You should have an option for all 3.....plus your smart phone, as all of them are only tools, and you should use all of your tools available. But I get by fine with my atlas, Qualcomm and phone. Never felt the need to buy an additional gps.

I don't have a seperate GPS either. I'm certainly not against them like all the cb Rambos you hear all day long. I just haven't bought one yet. Google Earth is a Godsend. The QC is pretty spot on but it loses service far too often. I do wish that it showed the lane view sooner than 1/2 a mile away from your exit. When driving a 60 mph turtle, it'd be nice to know which left lane I have to be in to make the exit/continue on the highway. That way I can get into the correct lane early and stay out of the big boy's way at the same time.

As far as getting to the actual customer goes, yes it is pretty accurate. Occasionally it'll try to take me to a different road than the truck entrance is on but that's where Google Earth comes into play when I'm doing my trip plan.

That Rand McNally isn't the greatest. It doesn't do well in construction zones. And it sometimes it updates slow, like when your near your destination, and it tells you that you just passed your destination.

Smart phone and common sense work best. Zoom in your smart phone, before you go to your final destination. Make sure your on a boulevard or other big street, and not going through a residential neighborhood.

I love my " OK Google."
When you get close, and if it's some place with a HWY 64 East address, then just ask google to direct you to the name of the receiver, works everytime.

I had use qc, Google map and garmin. Each of them have their faults and trusting in just one will get you in trouble. But combine them all, and looking and reading signs, u will never get loss

I have a old Discontinued PC Miler. I mainly use it for a back up. But navigo will put you at the entrance at shipper. Sometimes I can go for days without pulling out my atlas. For the next 10 days I will be using a DAGR.
