New truck. Less than 3k on it and I'm throwing oil. Think it may be a wheel seal. FML

Question for those that have the newest q com, the one that is on the dashboard.

Does it throw u to ON DUTY status every time you turn off ignition, even if you're parked on break and turn truck on and then off.
Also, do you have to START the truck to get q com to load up? Simply turning key to ON position won't wake it up, have to actual start it. So when I want to see how close I am to my 10 hour,I have to START it, then when I turn it back off, I go to ON DUTY

Yep, same position. My chassis looks like it's got 1 million miles on it. LOL

You guys with the wheel seal leaks with the new trucks does it show on your driver side window a sticker for North Carolina or does it say Saltillo for the plant in Mexico?... Because I just picked up a new truck with Sni yesterday that was made down there in Mexico

No my Qualcomm doesn't do that but it does take forever to warm up and I noticed it looses signal quite easy

Hey! Check your breather tube on your axle! I thought I had a blown seal at 2000 too, the differential was over filled and it was puking oil. Air pushed it back to make it look like a wheel seal. Wheel seal was fine. Exact same position. Inner right on the rear axle is where the oil traveled from the front breather tube off the front drive axle.

    Steel Tiger Thanks this.

Also the guy at freightliner said check your steering axle oil levels they get over filled factory sometimes and that WILL cause a seal failure up front.
