I really don't understand where you get the impression that I don't listen and try what others suggest. I have said it as simply as I possibly can, REPEATEDLY thanked all who have offered advice. But the theme of "you don't listen to what people are telling you" keeps popping up, so I tried nicely saying it, and in my parting comments to this thread I will step on some toes and say it another way.
I HAVE REPEATEDLY ####ING TRIED ALL OF THE ADVICE OFFERED AND IT DIDN'T ####ING WORK.
I mean, I don't know if you're skimming over or ignoring some of my post's...but I can't count the number of times I have responded to these type of comments with the same statement. Just because it worked for some, doesn't mean it works for all.

Remember a few weeks ago when I had that OSD issue that Fargo wouldn't deal with, and the post was made about "you'll get a call shortly", you know what NO ONE CALLED... so you see, what works for some, doesn't work for all.

@ncmickey, you may be right...reefer freight is a different style of trucking, but...a decent percentage of my ####ed up loads are non-reefer loads, including this one.

If everyone is content making regional driver money doing OTR duty, more power to ya'. Seriously, if making this level of income does it for ya', more power to ya'. But I have had better. Maybe I'm spoiled on making a better living for the effort I apply, obviously Magnum isn't for me...so I will bid you all a fond farewell now, that way when I have moved on, I will have been long forgotten about.

11800 for the month of June with 6.5 days at home.
Say in Jamestown for 10 hours to get loaded but man where they busy. Got there at 1100 left at 2100 but load wasn't suppose to load till 1800 today no complaints from me. This will get me home for a drive by. Will get there Wednesday afternoon for a Thursday evening delivery so probably back home after delivery since I will probably not be able to reload till friday

Ssb not trying to talk you out of your decision, just curious.

I agree. Where will you be happy? You focus on everything you Don't like, wherever you are, instead of what you do like.

When you focus on what you don't like that's all you see and you will be unhappy. The same applies to recognizing the good in everything!

As far a the "No Calls" or being ignored, phones work both ways. They do deal with over 200 drivers so they may have been busy and forgot. If you feel you're being ignored address the issue.

As far as the money, everyone wants more of it and feels they deserve it.

Money is always promised by recruiters, but sometimes is never "real." 70cpm with no miles is not good. 30cpm with lots of miles is working too hard.

No matter where a person works there will be something they don't like.

I wish you and your family the best.

12,072 miles for June, including 2 days layover (ghost) miles, and 4+ days home time. Those kind of miles, plus the raise I just got, makes me a pretty happy camper. And likely another raise starting the new trimester. Then, for the cherry on top, I just spoke to Ashley who is hooking me up with a 2-stop trip to WA & OR over the July 4th weekend. Virgin territory for this rookie...may be asking for some advice. I've read from some of you that parking is at a premium out west.

I stayed at the TA near North Bend this trip. Free parking and lots of reserved spots. Busy stop. Has a Popeyes and their TA restaurant also.

For anybody delivering to the Mccook, IL GSF, there is a new Pilot on Harlem Ave in Bridgeview and a new looking AmBest about half a mile up that isn't listed on Trucker Path. I decided to take a chance coming to the Pilot at 5:00pm. Surprisingly I had no trouble finding a spot though it has since filled up. Only 6.2 miles from GSF.
