I so hope you find a company that runs gliders, I thought of you when I was talking to a driver running back and forth from NC to the Midwest in a Freightliner Coronado condo glider.

These new trucks no matter the make are made to require more maintenance to help keep up the profits for the manufacturers, since there are so few new O/OP's now they don't worry as much about maintaining quality. My 17 touch wood is running great, but I only have 30K on the clock so who knows what's in store in the future.

I would be beyond pissed if I purchased a $160K truck and had it spend as much time in the shop as some of these trucks do. I ran the numbers on my 14 and with the breakdowns I could have driven a 389 glider w/o any wing or roof fairing and still only lost $2K at curent fuel prices because the truck would have more uptime...that's sad.

That's OK, being from FL, we love our guns almost as much as Texans do....and we looooove fresh wild hog. I wonder how he'd look with an apple in his mouth rotating on a spit over an open flame...hmmmmmmmmm

 

@supersnackbar just now thought about it. I had a friend just quit to be home with his family. His truck is at CR. It would be a good loaner. He never had any mechanical issues with it besides the apu blowing ac hoses
